Information:
How you'd describe Neil would be depend where you see him, because he almost acts like a different person depending the area. At the office, he's a no-nonsense man, pretty much intent on focusing his work and wouldn't take any crap if business go down. Someone you really couldn't joke about during work-hours honestly, it's almost unpleasant. However, he is good with his job, and despite how strict he is, he does remind everyone that he's doing that if mishaps are uncalled in the situation.
Off work hours, he's quite a the social butterfly. Being a former rebellious teenager-- you know, the type that's generally never home and have billions of friends and contacts, he's still a good spirit for social parties and the like. He pretty much drops all his Mr. No-nonsense attitude once he's outside of the office, he's very much fun of jokes and would love to hangout with anyone who'd be up for it. Even after growing up and focusing hard on his academics during college, he still keeps close tabs with a lot of his friends, so he's pretty much a good buddy outside of work.
Then there's a rare side people hardly see, whenever he has time to himself, he'd go into internet and pretty much gush about his love since childhood; sentais and comic books. Neil's pretty much a child underneath it all, it's something that he can never shake off. He does understand that in the adult world, you can never be found to like something like that, even your fellow adult friends would probably raise a brow at stuff like masked and/or skin-tight heroes. He's just a kid at heart, and with the wonderful technology such as the internet, he can freely exclaim his love without anyone knowing whose exactly behind the computer, so everyone wins right? Right!
Though, just because he's a goofy guy underneath the business suit, it never meant he's incompetent. At the core, he does have a brilliant mind, even when he's just being a derpy fanboy. He's also not afraid to fight dirty if there's no other option, whether it's literally fighting or quiping a strategy like contacts or law, he's pretty good at it. Generally, even with how much he's kinda of derpy, it's really best not to cross his line.
He tends to buy new hard-drives to fill it with comic book issues and new seasons of his favorite sentai series; Masked Sentai. He's also fond of a bit of English novels and mystery movies; but not to a fanboying state.
On the internet his handle is either badluckhero or badluckhero13, usually shortened to 'lucky' to most of his online buddies. 'he types like this!! owo' with smileys and lack of punctuation also tends to abuse the exclamation or question mark, unless discussing something serious,like Masked Yama WMG.
History:
Life for one (1) Cornelius was never above average, even if his mother was a bit frail and his dad was always away from business. It was alright for him, even if his dad was away most of the time, he'd protect his mother like those heroes on TVs and comic books, yeah! Of course, what neither had expected was that Neil's father died from an accident when he was roughly 7 years old. However, shortly a year later, his mother had remarried with another man, but it's alright though, he's pretty cool.
Well, he was, as years passed, his step-dad seemed to slowly stop tolerating his love for cartoons and comic books. "Shouldn't you be studying for you future?" He'd always said. Eventually though, they had a nasty argument, leaving with his step-dad using harsher words than he intended. Though at the time, Neil didn't realize his good intentions and thought his step-dad went sour as he gotten older. Annoyed, he decided to rebel off even more by never being home and hanging out with 'the wrong crowd', generally being a typical rebellious teenager.
Of course, even most of his friends didn't like the idea of his fanboyism ("Like, aren't you a too old for liking these babies stuff?"), apart from his fellow comic book-loving friends he'd see at school, it was still a bit bothersome. Though eventually, he learned that they all keep in contact through the curious internet, and so since that day he used the invention to fulfill his daily hero-loving needs, which are watching episodes and discussing them with fellow lovers from around the world.
Though, eventually, the whole rebel thing mellows out and he made amends with his fathers, lying about giving the superhero-loving thing of course. And so he pursued a degree in Economics during his college life with the intention of focusing his academics instead of his social life, however he always made sure to keep contacts with everyone, especially with how technology marched on those days and secretly download the latest season of Masked Yama of course. Also during his 4th year, he met his future-online IM buddy, Patchy.
Presently, he manage to balance well between his social life and work, and also keep a pretty nice relationship with his family while secretly continuing his hobby. Overall, he's living it pretty good, even if that left with little time for him to rest, well he can't really sit still for long anyways! So it's all good.
Family:
Neil's father died when he was young, his mother was always a bit frail but otherwise still alive and the kind woman he knew since a child, his step-father is had good intentions despite being rather stern before his retirement.
